The Placement Cell at MVJCE facilitates between the corporate and the student for recruitment. More importantly, it is geared to understand corporate requirements and develop students who are employable. In the 4 years of engineering at MVJCE, this is accomplished through 160 additional hours of targeted training. Our programmes are designed to improve confidence levels, analytical thought, presentation delivery, communication skills and technical know-how.

MVJCE’s Placement Cell is supported by group discussion rooms, interview rooms, seminar halls, and more than 400 computers with 10MBPS dedicated internet and LAN connectivity that can be utilised for online tests.

M.V. Jayaraman Foundation Scholarship: Scholarship will be considered for only one academic year. To avail the scholarship for the next academic year, the student needs to submit the renewal application form, along with the necessary documents, 2 weeks before the commencement of the odd semester.

Our state-of-the-art infrastructure ensures a dynamic learning environment for students. The Central Library is spread over 16,000 sq.ft. and houses an enriched collection of books and other documents. The Library subscribes to more than 60 national and international journals. The space and the natural air-conditioned (open class door windows) reading room are accommodated in a computerized and Wi-Fi-enabled building. The library is equipped to support not only faculty and students but also researchers and scholars. MVJCE Library provides an excellent ambiance for self-study and research.


MVJCE CENTRAL LIBRARY is a place of knowledge enhancement, which is designed in a way appropriate to meet the academic needs of the students and faculty. It provides a wide range of resources to its academic community. The Central Library has a pool of academic resources such as books, magazines, Journals, encyclopedias, databases, back volumes, CDs/DVDs, project reports, audio/video cassettes, question bank, and the Internet. Through the completely automated library management system, users can access the Central library resources without any hassles. The Central Library provides spacious seating arrangements and a serene ambiance for learning. Trained and committed library staff is at the service of the academic community.

IT Facilities
MVJCE constantly upgrades its IT facilities in order to make learning more creative, innovative and informative. The entire campus is enabled with Wi-Fi facility with a bandwidth of 100Mbps.There are 69 extendable Wi-Fi access points placed in various places like Library, corridors, Labs, hostel, Canteen and open areas inside the campus. The Internet connection is controlled and regulated by using a UTM device with a SOPHOS- antivirus and Antispam data base. Students and staff are provided with user name and password. Only after they login using their username and password they are allowed to access internet.

Students' attendance is monitored through biometric attendance system. Biometric attendance recorded from various biometric devices for students and employees are loaded to server in the internet center. All application servers are centralized and maintained in the data centre.

All departments have classrooms equipped with ICT facilities to enhance the teaching learning process. The computer labs of MVJCE are air-conditioned and provided with wifi and LAN facility. Labs are equipped with sufficient hardware and licensed software to run program specific curriculum and off program curriculum. Enough number of personal computers are available for the smooth conduction of the lab.

The entire campus is under cctv surveillance and the camera recordings are spooled on to the video storage.

Office 365, a cloud based E-mail, Calendaring and collaboration service, hosted by Microsoft is used as a fast, safe and reliable form of communication which operates effectively among the employees.

1240 desktops are provided to all the department labs with configurations of core i3 3Generation 4GB, 500 GB hard disk with LAN connectivity. 140 desktops are provided to faculties and support staffs with configurations of core i3 4GB, 500GB and dual core 250 GB, 2GB hard disk are available to carry out academic and administrative work.

An internet center is functioning in the campus with 120 systems for the students. IT help desk is functioning in the campus for resolving the issues like hard ware trouble shooting, software installation, maintaining Biometric devices and network related issues.

Access for Differently Abled

Access for Differently-Abled
MVJCE is ensuring disabled friendly physical infrastructure. The main entrances and exits clearly identifiable and easily accessible. And it can accommodate wheelchair users. Steps and ramps has hand railings and the entrance permitting access to a conveniently located lift.

Parking for people with disabilities is available near the building. This is easily accessible to cross-disability groups equally. Accessible indoor parking spaces are located close to the lift.The doors should be wide enough to accommodate wheelchair users and the space inside is sufficient for them. Appropriate heights control panels and the large buttons are embossed. Visual and audible signals indicating the arrival at different floors is available.

Stairs are easily accessible and identifiable. The minimum width of the stairs is wide enough and the landings have enough space at the top and bottom. Handrails provided for staircases.

Separate toilets are available for people with disabilities. They are clearly identifiable and accessible. The doors are wide enough and lockable from inside and releasable from outside. There is enough maneuvering space inside. All floor surfaces are slip resistant. Mirrors, flushing arrangements, dispensers mounted at appropriate heights.

Maintenance

The institution has the structured system for maintaining and utilizing the facilities available. MVJCE Facility management team maintains the physical and academic support facilities. The various responsibilities of the team are housekeeping activities, maintenance of Garden, pest control, entire campus snag work etc. MVJCE deployed location supervisors across the campus. Each location supervisor will report to the maintenance manager regarding his observations on electrical, plumbing, and housekeeping related issues/complaints. A logbook is maintained for the same. The college provides transportation facilities for its faculties and students. A transport committee is constituted to address and rectify any transport related issues. The security of the institute is taken care by in house security guards with the help of an external private agency in two shifts round the clock.

We encourage and train our students to participate in national and international tournaments. Our dedication to sports extends to hosting the Dr M V Jayaraman Memorial Cricket Tournament and Smt Rajalakshmi Jayaraman Intercollegiate Volleyball Tournament, both prestigious tournaments on the intercollegiate circuit. Our carefully selected college teams for Cricket, Basketball, Handball, Kho-Kho, Table Tennis, Badminton and Kabaddi represent MVJCE in various competitions across the state and have won many accolades making MVJCE one of the feared competitors in the university.

The MVJCE Range
We have a wide variety of games, such as Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Hockey and Kho-Kho. There are also dedicated spaces for Indoor sports, including Table Tennis, Badminton, Weight Lifting, Power Lifting, Chess, and Carom. Our Outdoor facilities include a 200-metre athletic track and courts for Basketball, Volleyball, Handball, and Throw Ball. MVJCE also has a large indoor gymnasium facility with areas marked for Yoga, Weight Training and Cardio exercises.

Dr. M V Jayaraman Memorial Cricket Tournament: This tournament is regarded among the best in the University. State-wide, colleges look forward to participate and take home the coveted and respected Dr M V Jayaraman Memorial Cricket Cup.

Smt Rajalakshmi Jayaraman Inter-Collegiate Volleyball Tournament: Initiated to develop and support volleyball, the tournament today is witness to participation in extensive numbers.
