One of the Best Degree colleges in Mumbai, Shree L. R. Tiwari Degree College of Arts, Commerce & Science in Mira Road was established on 26th June 2018. It got its permission from the Government of Maharashtra vide permission no – Shashan order No. – NGC 2018/100/18 Mashi-4 dated 15th June 2018.

The College functions under the aegis of University of Mumbai with affiliation No. – Aff/ICD/2018-19/645, AISHE Code: C-60204 and the college code as 1064. The college bears the name of Shri Lallan Ramadhar Tiwari, founder and chairman of Rahul Education, a renowned educationist and social activist who has dedicated his life to ensuring that students in Mumbai’s western suburbs receive an education that fundamentally prepares them for the future.

The college offers top besides  courses namely, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Mass Media and Communication, Bachelor in Accounts and Finance, Bachelor in Banking and Insurance, Bachelor of Management Studies, and B.Sc. in Information Technology, B.Sc. in Computer Science, B.Sc. in Hospitality study, B.Sc. in Data Science and B.Sc. in Aviation.

Placement Cell contacts the organizations to find out their recruitment plan for the year. Alternately, the organizations inform the Placement Cell about the existing opportunities and share their skill set requirement in the form of job description through email or phone.

About the Management Scholarship Scheme:

1. The Management scholarship scheme is initiated by the Management of Shree L R Tiwari Degree College from academic year 2023-24.
2. The Scholarship scheme provides for the 100% waiver in the tuition fees for newly admitted First year Degree College students only.
3. Tuition fee is one of the components of the total fees which are to be paid through the online portal at the college office.
4. The student who wishes to apply for the scholarship must meet and fulfill the eligibility criteria.
5. On yearly basis Only 5 students from the newly admitted First Year Undergraduate students will be provided with the Management scholarship.
6. It is purely based on the academic merits, i.e the performance of the candidate at the HSC Examination or Equivalent.
7. The application should reach the institution within 15 days from the date of confirming the admission at the college.
8. The scholarship form is made available at the college website: https://www.slrtdc.in
9. The scholarship selection committee would check the eligibility criteria and recommend the management for scholarship to the candidate.
10. The discretion of the management council would be final and abiding to the students who apply for the management scholarship.
11. No objection, appeal or request from the student in regards to decision of the management council will be entertained under any circumstances.

Eligibility Criteria

•The students who have secured more than 95% in HSC Board Examination or Equivalent are eligible to apply for the Management Scholarship Scheme for waiver in the tuition fees for First year of Degree College. (Component of the total fees)
•The candidate should be a fresh regular student who has appeared and passed for the 12th Standard examination.
•The candidate should clear the 12th examination in first attempt.
•Privately passed 12th standard candidates are not allowed to fill the scholarship form.
•The Management scholarship scheme is open to all the reserve classes as well as open category students including Minority quota, In-house quota etc.
•The candidate should provide with true and correct information in the scholarship form. Any erroneous or wrong information would amount to cancellation of the name from the nomination for the scholarship.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA – Sports

1. The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of sports performance in recognized competitions held between the previous calendar year.
2. A candidate in full time employment will not be eligible for the scholarship scheme.
3. A scholarship holder shall not receive any other sports scholarship from any other source and should not be inmate of sports hostel of SAI/State Govt. In case the scholarship holder is already in receipt of any such award/ facility, he/she will have to surrender that in order to avail himself/herself of the benefits of this scholarship. A selected candidate may however, enjoy merit scholarship for studies other than sports scholarship and /or fee concession if given by the school in which he/she studies.
4. The applicant shall apply only in one discipline in which he / she had achieved highest performance.
5. If the dates of competitions or timing / distance / height / weight / points etc. achieved are not mentioned in the certificate, the applicant may obtain the same from concerned agency & enclose the same to the application failing which the application will NOT be considered.

Facilities and Infrastructure

Gymkhana and Sports Academy:

The Gymkhana presents centers for the foremost video games like Cricket, Football on the university playground. The college offers significance to most participation of scholars on the intercollegiate stage in numerous games.

Computer Lab:

The College has well-designed air-conditioned computer laboratories with LCD facilities. Every student has access to a computer with software designed according to the syllabus. Practicals are carried out beneathneath the supervision of skilled IT and Computer staff.

Audio-Visual Lab:

The audio-visual laboratory is used for screening educational ?lms, being equipped with the facility of LCD projectors and audio systems.

Language Laboratory:

The College has a language laboratory with seating arrangements for 30 students. The laboratory is used for programs in English & Communication Skills.

Library:

The college library is regarded as the backbone of college education. It plays an important role in the lives of young students who could have access to a large collection of reading material which it develops keeping in view their information needs. In this Module the objectives and functions of the college library in support of higher education have been discussed.
