Training & Placement department helps preparing graduates and passed out students in finding suitable jobs in reputed organizations. This cell works out placement strategies based on current as well as further job markets and takes into account the emerging job profile so that these may provide upward mobility in the career-graphs of our students. Invitations are sent to the prospective companies / organizations along with all relevant information to participate in the campus recruitment.
Regular correspondence is maintained with various industries. Personal visits by the Training and Placement Officer, to many companies also serves to build and maintain relations with the companies. The cell maintains a branch -wise list of industries and encourages students to approach the companies independently in case that particular company does not have a policy of Campus Recruitment.
The cell maintains a branch-wise record of all current appearing students in the Final Year through the collection of their resumes. Based on the requirements prescribed by the company, the eligible candidates are invited for appearing for the test / interviews that are conducted by the visiting companies. The T & P also maintains a list of past students and passes this list to companies who specifically come for pass-out students.
The T & P cell looks after all arrangements to be made for the purpose of conducting campus interviews including everything from, the Pre-Placement Talk, to the written tests, to the final interviews The Training and Placement Cell firmly believes in taking feedback from the companies that have visited since the feedback from the company serves as a yardstick regarding the performance of the students.

Requirements of a company are received by Training & Placement Cell (T & PC) for campus recruitment. The circular is sent to department heads and students about the recruitment. The department shortlists the candidates and send the same to the T & PC. The list of students will be forwarded to the recruiting company.
Off Campus Recruitment
The T & PC will shortlist the students from the database matching the company requirements and sends the list to recruiting company or institution for further action.

The College Placement Cell identifies job opportunities via mail, WhatsApp, and social media, and communicates them to students. In addition, Departments invite experts from industry to provide career guidance. Soft skills training programmes for students are conducted to prepare them for interviews; these include guidance on group discussions, and writing résumés. Our Students are placed at reputable National and International companies such as TCS, L&T, Datamatics, ICICI Prudential, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Bajaj Capital, MotilalOswal, Cap Gemini, Accenture,INFOSYS, Nokia, iGate, Sutherland Global Services, and Morgan Stanley.
The College Career Guidance and Placement Cell conducted a number of activities for Students in 2018-19. The following is a brief report: A Lecture and Interactive Session on “Urban Governance”: A Lecture and Interactive Session on “Urban Governance” was organized on July 18, 2018, in association with PRAJA, a Mumbai-based non-partisan voluntary organisation that works towards accountable governance.
The main goal of PRAJA is to elicit participation from the people in the government’s decision-making processes so that accountability can be established in the system. With this view, they offer a fellowship programme to students, who, if selected, get paid Rs. 10,000/- per month. Students had a number of questions, which were patiently answered by the associates from PRAJA. Ms. Disha Sawant was selected as a fellow under this programme and was offered a stipend of Rs. 10,000/- per month. MBA: On January 14, 2019, in association with the Department of English, a lecture on “MBA as a Career Option” was organised. The speaker was Prof. Niteesh Srivastava from ITM Group of Institutions. More than 80 students from across the faculties attended the lecture and participated in the interactive session that followed. LAW: On January 14, 2019, in association with the Department of Economics a lecture on “LAW as a Career Option” was organised. The speaker was Prof. Pramila Dhiman from KES Law College. More than 80 students from across the faculties attended the lecture and participated in the interactive session that followed. STOCK MARKET: On January 21, 2019, in association with the Department of Accountancy, a lecture on “Stock Market” was organised. The resource person was Mr. Kalpesh Kanase from ICOFP – A Bajaj Capital Group Company. More than 100 students benefited from it.
A workshop on “Use of Computers in Day-to-day Life” was organised in association with the College ICT Committee on February 13, 2019. This workshop was conducted by experts from Microsoft Corporation under their initiative “Computer se Karo, Computer se Badho”. Students were also given information about a number of free courses and self-learning videos by Microsoft, that would help them use MS Office effectively. More than 100 Students participated in this workshop.
An interactive session on “CV Writing and Interview Etiquette” for TYBSc Students was organized on February 15, 2019. Prof. Ulhas Karkhanis, Associate Dean, IES Management College & Research Centre was the speaker at the session, which was attended by 60 Students. Competitive Examination Awareness Programs – With proper guidance and necessary input of strategic thinking we arrange classes for aspirants who are interested to crack the competitive Exams. Value Added Courses (VAC) and Add-on Courses – Apart from academics we provide necessary skills to increase the employ ability quotient and equipping the students with essential skills to succeed in life.
