Training and Placement Cell is an integral part of our Institute. Training activities are organized throughout the year in an effort towards preparing the prospective students for the campus selection programmes. The cell is sensitized to function all through the year towards generating placement and training opportunities for the Students.

The Training and Placement department (TAP) is an integral part of VVCE connecting students of BE, MTech and MBA and also the various departments. The department has the best infrastructure for the smooth conduction of training and placement activities. The department works in close co-ordination with the Industry Relations Executives and the Department Placement Coordinators (DPC) which comprises of both students and faculty members nominated from individual departments.

The department has been instrumental in providing necessary skill set to all UG and PG students to develop their employability skills, leadership qualities and personality development.

PLACEMENT :

In the present scenario of globalization, there is tremendous demand for skilled manpower particularly in the area of Engineering and Technology. The education of a future professional engineer cum manager is incomplete without the exposure to working in an organization. Therefore, the Training and Placement (T&P) cell was set up with a view to provide necessary impetus to launch our students into the real world where cut-throat competition is the order of the day. The Training and Placement Cell plays a vital role in finding suitable job opportunities for students and at same time tying up with industries and professional organizations for fruitful and mutually beneficial linkages. Training and Placement cell is a must to explore the possibilities of training for the undergraduate students as well as employment to the outgoing BE students of the college.

RCOE maintains good relations with corporate houses being a perfect host for educationists and entrepreneurs. Our T&P cell works round the year to ensure successful and respectable placements with esteemed organizations.

Placements: About 100% of students got placements from our college in the previous year. The highest salary package offered in our course is 5 LPA, and the lowest is 1.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are JSW, Aquasub, LGB, and IT companies.

CRCE Placements

Fr. Conceicao Rodrigues College of Engineering, Mumbai has a separate training & placement Cell that has been actively involved in recruiting and career counselling for students. The CRCE Mumbai Placement Cell acts as a link between the corporate world and students. CRCE Mumbai placement cell always acted as a compass for students, helping them to identify and improve their abilities, talents, strengths, and limitations. The CRCE Mumbai placement cell organised a variety of informed and engaging seminars, workshops, and sessions with the goal of reducing the skills gap between what companies need and what students possess.

CRCE Mumbai Placement Procedure

·         Interested candidates should register for the interview.

·         Pre-placement talks will be conducted for students by the company.

·         Then there will be a selection process.

·         Following the selection of candidates, the result will be declared by the particular company.

·         The company will contact candidates for further procedures through registered e-mails.

The Training & Placement Cell (TPC) at University College of Engineering, Villupuram (UCEV) was established in the academic year 2010. Operating under the guidance and support of the Dean of UCEV and the Centre for University-Industry Collaboration (CUIC), Anna University Chennai, the TPC is responsible for all placement-related activities. The primary objective of the TPC is to develop professionals with strong technical skills, preparing them to compete in the global arena. The cell fosters a positive environment to build strong relationships between the institute and corporate organizations. Additionally, the TPC ensures the provision of necessary infrastructure and hospitality for conducting training programs and placement drives.

The Training & Placement Cell (TPC) functions with the primary objective of providing effective career guidance and placement opportunities for students. The key responsibilities of the TPC include:

• Offering guidance on various career paths, including placements, projects, in-plant training, entrepreneurship, and higher studies.
  
• Organizing training sessions on soft skills, personality development, and career development, led by expert trainers from industry, academia, and alumni.
  
• Providing training in areas such as problem-solving, analytical thinking, programming skills, group discussions, employability skills, innovation, and entrepreneurship development.
  
• Coordinating and organizing campus recruitment drives, facilitating selection opportunities with reputed organizations.
  
• Maintaining strong relationships with corporate partners to provide skilled manpower based on industry needs.

The TPC at UCEV is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, including online and classroom-based written test halls, interview rooms, group discussion tables, and other facilities, ensuring the smooth execution of placement activities. These modern amenities provide a conducive environment for recruitment processes, enhancing the overall experience for both students and recruiters.

 About 60–70% of the students will be placed. I heard, but I cannot be exact; my batch is the first batch of our college, so I have no idea, but from some sources I heard that at minimum we get at least INR 3 lacs in packages and max up to INR 9 lacs from top recruiting companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Contrivier, etc. Almost 100% of students got internships in construction.
