TRAINING AND PLACEMENT CELL

Training & Placement Cell is assisting students to build their career in companies in India and abroad. The well-structured infrastructure supports selection process like written tests, group discussions, pre-placement talks and interviews according to the needs of the companies.

The JSS Noida placements 2022 placed around 63% of its students in top companies. The training and placement cell at the institute assists the students in improving their skills and knowledge to enhance their chances of getting hired by recruiting companies.

The Department of Training and Placement handles campus placements for UG and PG graduating students. The JSS Noida highest package 2022 was INR 57.32 LPA, and the institute has various signed MOUs with organizations like Microsoft Innovation Lab, The IoT Academy Uniconverge Technologies Private Limited, DBP Engineers Works Pvt. Ltd, etc. to provide internships to students.

The Department of Placement & Training was established as a separate entity in the year 1997. The Department presently coordinates with many leading organizations which recruits Engineers/Technocrafts and GET/ PGET's for entry level positions in their respective organizations. In the year of inception, the department modestly established contact with about 47 organizations and placed 172 number of students. With every passing year, the number of recruiting organizations have increased in geometric progression on an average of about 250 nationally renowned organizations visiting the campus annually to conduct their recruitment process in our campus. For the 2016 batch, 1892 offers have been made by 378 companies/organizations.

Today, Ramaiah Institute of Technology is one of the preferred academic institutes for a large number of organizations for recruiting our graduates. The biggest names in the corporate world visit the campus on a regular basis, with enviable recruitment offers. There is tremendous competition amongst companies to visit the campus to recruit the best talents of the institution. Ramaiah Institute of Technology has been the traditional recruitment target for many organizations.

The institution stands as the preferred destination for students who aspire to grow, learn and reach beyond the ordinary; which is why some of the world’s finest companies visit us and discover the best minds available. Our placement process is extremely successful. Majority of students who are interested in securing jobs through campus placements succeed in doing so. As a result, most of our students have their career paths charted much before graduation. The progress of the recruitment programs can be judged by the increasing total number of offers made each year.

Campus Hiring
Each year, we invite our industry partners and other reputed organizations to the college campus to participate in the placement process for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes. We connect to invited companies, discuss their requirements and mutually agree on a tentative date for doing the placement drive. We also connect to all students, collate the student data, get their registrations for placements and brief them the placement policy and rules before the placement season starts for all the final year students.

We follow the below placement process for smooth running of placement drives and the post selection steps of offer acceptance, pre-joining formalities and the candidate joining process:

We get the job requirements, position description, eligibility criteria, salary details and the company introduction note that we can share with students.
We publish the company details and their requirements to all students through a college internal portal.
Eligible and interested students apply for jobs by registering themselves on the portal.
We send eligible and interested students list to the company with all the student data like degree/department, date of birth, prior education marks, current CGPA, backlogs, etc.
Companies will review the students, shortlist if required and send the final list of students prior to the placement drive date.
Visiting companies will start with pre-placement talk on drive date and directly interact with the eligible students. During these sessions, they will provide overviews of the job profiles, job descriptions, compensation, company’s expectations and other specific requirements. Students will clarify any questions they have with company delegates.
Companies typically conduct Written Tests, Group Discussions/Case Studies and Personal Interviews as part of the placement process.
Most companies announce the selected students by end of day on the drive date. Further to this, Company’s HR team confirms selected students list by a mail.
As a post selection process, Companies send formal offer letters to the individual students with a copy to placement department.
We connect to students and follow through the acceptance process and any other post offer activities like document submissions, briefing sessions, trainings, internships, etc.
We are connected to students and the companies till all the students completes post offer formalities and joins the organization.

An exclusive Training and Placement cell is functioning for providing continuous placement and training assistance to the students during their course of study. For improving their employability skills like soft skills, technical, analytical and logical skills, they are trained by internal trainers and industry experts for whom the institution has entered into MOU with various training partners.

Apart from training, to enhance the innovative thinking and managerial skills of young minds, they are encouraged to organize and participate in various events like paper presentations, technical symposia and project presentations. In technical arena, the students were given a wide range of Value Added Courses. In order to update the students about industry trends and organization culture, we regularly have industry professionals and experts visiting our campus and interacting with our students.

AIEMS WELCOMES RECRUITERS TO HIRE
Students of AIEMS are eligible for Campus and Off Campus (Pool) Drives. They are instructed to email and inform the Placement Cell /Officer of their final decision and acceptance within one week of receiving the shortlisting Email or Offer Letter to enable the company representatives to be informed in time about confirmation or inability to join the company. They will also have to write to the HR of the company stating their decision to maintain professional integrity.

Keeping in mind the need of better job opportunities for the students, Training & Placement cell was formed. Cell makes direct interaction with the corporate people from the various industries. Every year entrepreneurship development programme is being conducted to motivate students for the self-employment. The students has compulsion to complete two-week rigorous training in industry. Cell supports to the students for their projects in industry, technical paper presentation, visits etc. It has taken every care to develop the personality of the students to match themselves for the better job offers, motivated them for the self-employment, guided for GATE, GRE, TOEFL, CAT etc. which are the entrance examination for admission to Post Graduate courses in India or aborad. They are also guided for preparation of competative examination like UPSC, MPSC, Engineering services etc.

Pre Placement Training Program

Training and placement go hand in hand with regard to on-campus recruitments. To help prepare the students, Training & Placement Department provides a pre-placement training program at MITK. MITK placement cell grooms students’ personality, enrich their knowledge, and make them ready for the corporate world via our optimized placement training courses. On-campus placements happen in rounds, many of which are elimination rounds, and only the ones who perform well throughout the phases get to sit for the final interview.

The Placement Process constitutes the following:

The placement and training cell of the institute serves as an efficient linkage between the institute and the industry. The main objective of the cell is to focus on the over-all development of the students through training and expert lectures. The cell is functioning with interaction with industrial experts, professional engineers and management consultants. The cell also arranges industrial visit of the faculty members. The students of our institute were selected in various campus interviews like Army-University Entry Scheme, L & T Ltd., I&PCL, Steelcast, Modest, TCL, Zeus Learning etc. The cell is interacting with various companies for recruitment of the students as graduate engineer, trainee, software development engineer or management trainee. The cell looks forward for the placement of the students of all disciplines of the institute. We foresee to join hands with the industrial giants for the placement of the students of all the disciplines of the institute in the new campus.

SGBAU Amravati Placements

SGBAU Amravati offers placement to its students in reputed companies. Students who are interested to avail of placement opportunities have to register on the college placement portal. Candidates who register themselves on the portal will receive the latest job updates.

SGBAU Amravati placement cell invites companies to their placement drive. These companies then conduct pre-placement talks with the students where students can ask queries regarding the company and job profile. Companies then conduct the placement process on the university campus. Students selected are then given the offer letter and have to join the company on the date mentioned in the offer letter.

• The SSBT’s College of Engineering and Technology Institute has a well-organized and well-equipped Training and Placement Cell (TPC). 
• Its main objective is to maintain a good liaison with the industry in and around the place of the campus. 
• It arranges the campus interviews and in-plant training. 
• Its main function is to arrange sponsored projects for both the staff and final year students. 
• Its objective is also to assist in apprenticeship training for the students.

PLACEMENT TRAINING

The placement cell organizes on-campus and off-campus recruitments and pre placement training programs in aptitude test, group discussions, interviews and presentation. The pre-placement training is embedded in the curriculum from the academic year 2016-17 as follows

• Communication Skill - I and II semester

• Soft Skills - III and IV Semester

• Aptitude - V and VI Semester

Professional trainers are hired to handle the above courses.

Earlier the Pre-Placement training was conducted for a duration of 3 to 6 days during the semester/vacation from the III semester onwards. By introducing pre-placement training as a course in the curriculum, the delivery of the course is steady, the learning is effective and the performance is measurable.

Mock interviews and GDs are conducted from the IV semester to VI semester in the pre-placement training course to face the challenges of recruitment scenario. Enhancement of technical skills such as Programming, Networking, Computer aided design and development etc are made through workshops. The cell motivates the students to get exposed to best industry practices through Industrial training and Internship during their vacations.

Technical and domain related sessions are conducted as Value Added Programs in related domain areas of Engineering to empower the student with the essential skill needed in industry.

From academic year 2017-18 Industry Internship Training program is made mandatory for UG students.
