CDC Facilities & Norms for the Campus Recruitment Process @ Mody University

The Career Development Centre, Mody University, Lakshmangarh, invites recruiters to participate in the Campus Recruitment Programme for the Batch graduating in the year 2021-22. The Campus Recruitment Programme, organized every year in the penultimate semester of the Programme has successfully met the requirements of the leading recruiters for the more than past  one and half decade.

The university while following the best teaching-learning practices endevours at grooming its students as highly competent and skilled professionals capable of meeting the challenges of rapid technological advances in the industry. Frequent interaction with leading industry experts, during their studies at the University; help them in honing their skills and preparing them for their successful career in the industry.

The university is committed to the holistic development of its students; in pursuit of this objective it offers a flurry of activities through a number of clubs and societies like, Anhata, Enginium, Beacon, Karuna, etc.

CAMPUS VISIT- FACILITATION

Pre-visit Initiatives:

The Institute welcomes and facilitates early Pre-Placement Talks, Presentations, etc. All Job Notifications along with any other related materials provided by the recruiters are displayed on the students’ notice boards.

Students apply against the Recruitment Notifications and their details are provided to the recruiters on an excel sheet. Soft copies of resumes are also forwarded, if so required, through e-mail.

During the Campus Visit:

The Institute’s auditorium is well equipped with the audio-visual facilities for presentations. Adequate space is provided for the written tests that are a part of the selection process. Large halls with every convenience are kept ready solely for this purpose. For online tests, computer labs, fully networked and connected to a 20 Mbps network are provided. More than 200 students can take the online test at a time.

For stay on campus, arrangements are made, on request, at the Institute’s guesthouse that is equipped to provide for every requirement of Institute’s guests. The Institute also arranges for Airport / Railway Station pick-up / drop, if required.

PLACEMENT NORMS

Placement facility is available to all students registered with the Career Development Centre through its registration procedure. Once the placement process is initiated the students may attend the presentations made by different organizations and accordingly make their decision to attend the respective selection process.

There is no restriction on attending multiple selection processes provided that the timings do not coincide. The student may attend processes for any number of organizations until the first offer is secured. Confirmation of the offer may be by way of the selection list being displayed by the organization or through offer letters issued. Once 85% of the students of a particular branch are placed, a second opportunity may be provided.

CDC office takes the responsibility of centrally receiving all offer letters, distribution of the same as well as sending the acceptance letters to the companies.

BIM follows an engagement-driven placement policy. BIM encourages corporates to participate in curriculum design intimately and also sponsor and deliver some of the courses. Students from the 3 years PG program received the highest median salary package of 6.5 LPA, while Mangalore University average package for PG 1 year and 2-year courses stood at INR 2.5 LPA and INR 3.5 LPA, respectively.

TIFR Mumbai Placements

Placement assistance is provided to students by the placement cell of the institution. Every year, TIFR Mumbai placements are conducted for the final year students. Companies interested in recruiting students for placements at TIFR Mumbai must follow the TIFR Mumbai placement process; sending invitations to interested companies, registration, pre-placement talks and selection tests. According to the TIFR Mumbai placement report for postgraduate courses for 2019-20 (as per the NIRF report), 14 students were eligible for placements, out of which 12 received job offers with a median salary of Rs. 3,60,000. On the other hand, 4 students opted for higher studies after completion of a 3-year postgraduate course at TIFR Mumbai. The median salary offered to students after completing a postgraduate 3-year course at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research Mumbai was Rs. 4,80,000.

It has a well placed placement department. The placement cell is able to invite many multinational and national companies to our campus for recruiting. Companies such as TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, HDFC, AXIS BANK, ICICI BANK vist institute to conduct campus interviews. They provided a competitive salary for students based on their capabilities and abilities. The minimum salary they offered was 3.5 lakhs annually, and the most lucrative salary package was 8 lakh rupees per year.

PLACEMENT POLICY
Maulana Azad University has constituted a ‘Training and Placement Cell’ to facilitate and help students in career counselling, preparations of competitive exams/interviews and in their placements. It plays a pivotal role to furnish and groom the career of the students. TPC acts as a medium and support system to assist students in accomplishment of their career aspiration.

Role and responsibilities
1.To organize campus interviews for final year students with industries and business.
2.To assist students in their internships and related activities.
3.To conduct mock interviews, in house training sessions, written tests, group discussion for students for helping them in preparation of interviews and exit/selection level /entrance exams etc.
4.Helping students in deciding their career by organizing guest lectures of eminent persons of industries / hospital pharmacies / higher education institutions in the field of pharmacy.
5.Conducting all kinds of correspondences with industries and bussiness seeking help in organizing practical training of students.
6.Planning industrial and educational tours, industrial visits and practical training of students and preparing Performa for same.
7.To frame processes and policies in order to ensure proper guidance and training to the students to help shaping their career in the right direction.
8.To build a strong networks among the corporate, industries and University for Placements, Internships and related activities.
9.Eligibility criteria for placement: per the respective company’s criteria.

Guidelines for students

1.All the students eligible for placement must register themselves with the Training & Placement office.
2.TPC reserve the right to disqualify the students from campus placement process in case of indiscipline.
3.Students are required to fulfil the minimum academic attendance criteria of 75% in all the semesters.
4.It is mandatory for students to attend the recruitment process in proper uniform provided by the university.
5.The students are required to maintain punctuality at all stages of selection process.
6.Eligible student intended to leave the selection process must give prior information to TPC.
7.A student once selected by a company is not eligible to appear for any more placement opportunities. However, students shall be eligible to appear in company that offer huge salary package.

PLACEMENT PROCESS

Nehru Corporate and Industrial Relation will send placement invitation letters to the companies enclosing a brief summary of the courses available.

The company will send Letter, Email with a brief company profile, job profile and details on campus recruitment drive.The company can visit the campus for a Pre-Placement Talk either before the selection processes or can combine it with the final recruitment.

On receiving information file, the placement announces the requirements of the company, asking interested students to submit resumes/name list, which are then handed over to the company.

The company is required to shortlist candidates from the application pool and eligibility data file sent and send the same with short listed candidates to the Nehru Corporate and Industrial Relation at the earliest

A mutual convenient date is finalized for the selection process/ recruitment drive.

The company is required to furnish the final list of students preferably on the same day, or as soon as possible, after completion of the selection process.

The offer letters need to be sent to the Nehru Corporate and Industrial Relation for handing over to the students. Offer acceptances (from the students) received, will be sent to the company by the Nehru Corporate and Industrial Relation.
