 Arunai Engineering College shortly known as AEC was established in the year 1993 by an eminent Visionary and Philanthropist Thiru E.V.Velu as an offshoot of "Saraswathi Ammal Educational Trust". This institute is academically affiliated to Anna University.

Training Methodology

The students are trained to attain the above objectives through a variety of programmes run by the Placement and Training Cell such as:

• The Corporate leaders from leading industries are invited regularly to interact with students.
• Various Training Programmes are organized to train the students in the areas of Aptitude, Quantitative Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and Verbal through the Reputed External Training centers.
• Technical training programmes are being conducted by Technical experts.
• Language learning programmes to train students in developing their communication skills using the language lab.
• Mock Interviews for students to perform well in the professional interviews as per the expectations of the corporate world.

Placements: Almost 99% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was 5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 2.5 LPA.

  Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology has been a consistent topper for several years in the list of campus placement records among private institutions in India. Guidance and support for students aspiring for a career in industry or entrepreneurship or wishing to take up higher education is the primary responsibility of the Placement and Training Centre. Special support and guidance is also provided to students who wish to pursue higher education in the form of GATE and CAT training.

Objectives

     To prepare students to face campus interviews by providing training in the areas of General Aptitude, Verbal Ability, Soft Skills, Technical Proficiency and Specific skill development related to GDs and Interviews

     To organize campus interviews for final year students with industries and business houses of repute from all over India and Abroad

     To arrange for final semester Industry-sponsored project for the students

     To promote career counseling by organizing guidance lectures by senior corporate personnel and well placed SRIT Alumni

     To organize Mock Tests, Mock Interviews, Group Discussions and special industry and domain specific training by the SRIT Alumni Association

     To focus on overall development of the student through Outbound Training at Prof.PRR centre, Anaikatti.

DEPARTMENT OF PLACEMENT & TRAINING:

·         Our college has independent placement office devoted to cater the needs of organization to provide placement, preparatory programs, winning skills,personality development and CV preparation. It is headed by a Professor designated as Placement Officer.

·         Placement hours have been allocated to the students for conducting placement oriented activities. During this session, aptitude, interview tips and group discussion are impacted to the students by placement coordinators.

·         Entrepreneurship development programs are conducted to motivate aspiring students.

·         The students take part in technical symposium, quiz programs, conference,workshop and campus recruitments are given proper recognition in the premises.

·         Guest lectures, soft-skill programs and aptitude coaching are being conducted by respective professionals in our campus to enrich the student knowledge and skills.

·         Quality improvement programs are provided to the faculty members and they are offered to participate in FDP session, women empowerment programs,seminars and workshops conducted in various other colleges.

Training and Placement

In the context of quality and excellence, T & P department is a value addition of our institution. With a view to enhance the "Employability skills" of students, T & P has evolved a comprehensive program, tailored to cater to the individual needs and potential of each student for the full length of the course. Ultimately this Department helps preparing even first generation students of rural background to meet the requirements of the Industries. Besides our In-house trainers, T & P Department with the help of corporate trainers trains our students right from first year to final year.
