Placement

The training and placement cell of the college is very effectively engaged in developing the students in all needed skills and placing in top companies. Students are also apprised on a continuous basis through seminar and workshops etc. about higher learning opportunities in India and abroad. Right from the fourth semester onwards, regular training is conducted on total personality development and personal grooming of the students. Minimum 35 to 40 top companies visit to the college every year between 90% to 100% students are placed. The placement covers all branches equally including non IT branches Mechanical, Civil, IEM, Biotechnology etc and a good number of non IT companies also visit to college on a continuous basis along with IT companies. The training and placement of the college is headed by an MBA(HR) qualified training placement Director with 28 years of experience on HR/HRD related activities tasks

Overview Of Career Counselling, Training And Placement (CCTP)

Career Counselling, Training and Placement (CCTP) department is an elite wing of Global Academy of Technology (GAT) with a mandate to serve the student community by creating best career opportunities for engineering and management students. Spearheaded by the Director-CCTP along with a strong professional team and student representatives, the department works round the year and closely coordinates with recruiting teams from leading corporate houses to make sure that every student gets suitable career opportunities during the final year of their academic program. A reliable and trustworthy relationship has been established by the Placement Director at GAT with the HR's of numerous esteemed organizations that has contributed to the successful placements of students over the years.

CCTP cell has a perfect understanding of how the corporate world works and this helps in organizing events and programs that provide avenues to the students to get exposed to the real world of work. At present there is a great demand for professionals across the industry spectrum with strong engineering/managerial skill-sets, life-skills, communication and learning agility.

The department arranges In-house progressive training, projects and internships with corporate organizations so that the students may get a comprehensive industry orientation helpful in polishing their skills before they start their actual careers.

Placements: Almost 95% of students got placed in this course. Around 55% of students got internships in our course. The top roles offered were software developer and data entry. The salary package was decent. All the software companies visited our college for recruitment.

Placement Cell interacts with the reputed organizations all over the country for arranging campus interviews for the final year students. We make efforts to organize technical seminars, workshops and corporate expectation sessions. Industry personnel are invited periodically to enrich the knowledge of our student community with the latest technological innovations and industry practices. We produce graduates who are well equipped to handle the working norms of the industry and commerce in the public and private sectors and helping every student to define his/her career interest through individual counseling through experts.

Government of India recognized vocational training centre at CIT ensures students acquire relevant skills, apart from knowledge, before graduating from the academia. Also, adequate platforms are provided to students to exhibit their technical as well as soft skills. Knowledge Network Workshop (K-NEW) is one such national event hosted by CIT for the benefit of students. Students get opportunity to continually engage with Industry experts through various Industry alliance programs. Many student projects in CIT are sponsored by KSCST, GoK every year.

The legacy of placement department in CIT is highly commendable. It is credited for hosting probably India’s first workshop exclusively for Training and Placement Officers way back in 2005. With its excellent network with other engineering colleges across Karnataka, the department has ability to pool large number of eligible candidates for any recruitment drives. Also, excellent IT infrastructure and other facilities in its 50 acres campus make the selection process easy & effortless. CIT campus is situated just 90 kms from Bangalore on N.H 206 (B H Road) and thus can be reached conveniently.

SJCIT is one of the very few colleges where the concept of HRD has been implemented and proved successful. The HR Department is sincerely working to empower students with various qualities and skills to achieve professional and personal excellence. The HRD is playing a major role in articulating the students to the needs of the industry. They are informed about the need for maintaining good academic scores and are motivated regularly to achieve the same.

Training program and industry related seminars are routine and the students are exposed to these program from the very first day they step into the college. These programs along with mock tests, both offline and online, have been made mandatory and evaluation procedures are followed which are in line with those required by the corporate world. They are being prepared to be individuals with logical and analytical skills and with excellent practical knowledge.

Training and placement
The Training & Placement Cell (TPC) of Sri Sairam College of engineering is the chief facilitator for the students to obtain placements best suited to them and primarily liaisons between Industry and the Institute. The goal of Training & Placement Cell is to provide world class training to students. The TPC has emerged as a favored destination for many national and international organizations who come back year after year to recruit fresh talented and nurtured at the Institute. The Training & Placement Cell is dedicated to motivate and help the student community towards their campus placements and industrial training. This is done by training students from the first year onwards focusing on motivational skills, communication skills, interpersonal relationships, leadership qualities, group discussions and interview techniques. Additionally, the TPC also provides the required infra-structural facilities to conduct group discussions, tests and interviews besides catering to other logistics. The database of the students is managed by the cell, which plays a crucial role in suitably placing the alumni too whenever required.

Placement
The Placement Department undertakes the following activities to achieve the desired results and sets targets. The department handles all aspects of campus placements for the graduating students. The Placement wing provides employment opportunities to students through campus recruitments, pooled campus and off campus recruitments. The Placement process is initiated with a clear focus on the students from all academic levels. All levels of the companies are contacted and invited for the campus recruitment drive which matches with different academic levels of students. Branch specific core companies are focused equally to ensure students obtain the right match of their passion and competency. The department is well equipped with excellent infra-structure to support every stage of the placement process like Pre-Placement Talks, interviews, Group Discussions etc.

Placements: 60% of students are placed in our course. INR 3.5 lakh per year is the highest package in our college. Rambo, Oneye, and Mahindra are the top recruiting companies. 95 percent are taking an internship with IBM and Infosys in cyber security.
