MITT has been conducting various Programs on Skills, Life Skills for all its students under the Entrepreneur and Technical Skills Development Program (ETSDP). The objective of this program is to make a student ‘Industry Ready’ and bridge the gap between classroom teaching and Industry needs. The Programs under ETSDP are conducted progressively every week and they are part of the accademic weekly schedule. The Program exposes the students to the various requirements of the ‘Interview Preparedness’. The modules that are covered under the ETSDP are English Language enhancement, Business Communication Skills, Problem Solving skills and Soft Skills – under which the students are facilitated with the sessions on Self Awareness, Self-Motivation, Interpersonal and Intrapersonal Skills, Group Discussions, debates, Interview facing, Etiquettes etc. A team of dedicated faculty exclusively for ETSDP looks after the Programs and schedules every week and progress record of every student is maintained.

PLACEMENT
Every student who joins a course in Plastics Engineering and Technology is already thinking of their career. A good first job is an important step that will shape their future path. The training and placement cell at CIPET recognizes this and ensures our students are suitably placed by inviting various companies for on-campus recruitment in their final year.   Training and Placement (TAP) is an integral part of our institution. The institute has provided the complete infrastructure for effective functioning of the cell. Training Plan:

  Training and Placement cell has developed a meticulous plan of training program to all the students to face the talent acquisition process successfully.
The visionary training program is planned in such a way to train the students of all disciplines in various technologies depending upon their area of interest.
We have planned to divide the students into “circuit” and “non-circuit” categories. A special training is designed for the circuit branch students i.e (CSE, IT, ECE, EEE,EIE,ICE) program to enhance coding skills in ‘C Java & Python’, and for the non-Circuit branch(MECH,CIVIL,PROD) students will be trained in Autocad,Catia,ProEto enhance their skills in core area.

AMCAT Test :

 “AMCAT” assessment platform is used by all students to get practice in Six different areas like Writex(English), Logical, Quants, (Aptitude),Automata Fix(Debugging),Automata (Coding), SVAR(Speech Voice Adaptive Rating). A mock interview and a domain specific test is also conducted to evaluate the students readiness before the campus hiring assessment conducted by all recruiters.

PEGA Training:

  We have introduced a niche training program from this year 2019 in ‘PEGA’ a specialized financial tool being used by all multinational banks across the Globe.

Many seminars on higher studies including study abroad are being arranged. Guidance on GATE examination, Workshops on latest technologies are being arranged. A separate HRD block with 300 seating capacity auditorium, 4 Training Rooms, 04 GD rooms, 05 interview rooms and control room is dedicated for the placement activities. A dedicated computer lab with 60 systems connected in single LAN to conduct on –line assessments and corporate related aptitude tests is also available for the placement related activities.

Career Development Center at Roever Engineering College, Perambalur facilitates the placement of students passing out from the Institute besides collaborating with leading institutes in setting up of internship and training program of students. Each department will have one faculty and two student coordinators to facilitate training and placement activities. The coordinators organize mock test and group discussion in their respective classes. External trainers are invited to train the students on solving the aptitude, prepare for group discussion, interview facing skills and technical skills. Experts from the varied industries are invited to give guest lecture on the latest technologies. Every year more than three hundred reputed companies are invited to visit our institution to recruit our students for internship and full time jobs.

Several companies send their assessment form to assess our institute before they visit for recruitment. We provide all the required information to the companies. Based on the information provided, companies visit our institution for campus recruitment. More than one hundred and sixty companies from different sectors visit BIT to recruit students for internship and full-time job. More than six hundred students get their dream jobs through placement center.
