SCET being one of the Institutes of the biggest Philanthropic Society of the Country has a strong base of values and commitments to create a progressive civilization. SCET located in the heart of the city presently enrolls more than 2000 students in various disciplines of Engineering and MCA where-in we run 9 UG courses and 4 PG courses. All UG and PG courses are run under Sarvajanik University, earlier till 2021 was affiliated with GTU

All the department of SCET has always been very vigilant in upgrading and updating its resources in terms of infrastructure and human resources. There is a continuous process of learning going around in the campus where-in not only the students are exposed to the latest and recent trends of design and technology but even the faculty members through its constant Endeavour to learn something relevant to the times and therefore constantly engages themselves to the application of technology through various consultancy projects for various government and semi-government agencies and corporate world. This process not only helps faculty to upgrade his/her knowledge but also gives the unique opportunity to expose their students to the actual profession and application of knowledge in the industry through continuous efforts for training programs, study tours and industrial visits.

Library:
SCET library is well equipped with books of for all disciplines, back volumes, and the latest journals. College library functions under the open access system having more than 59594 books, National/International journals, print Journals, and magazines of good repute. Research journals in electronic as well as printed formats are being subscribed to the SCET library. E-journals of various reputed online scientific databases such as American Chemical Society, ASCE, IEEE, Science-Direct, J Gate, McGraw-Hill, and Springer Link are available in the Library. The library has a rich collection of books on Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Civil Engineering, Textile Technology, Architecture, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Humanities, and Social Sciences. The collection includes reference books, textbooks, CDs, etc.

Sports:
SCET Sports are all forms of competitive physical activity that, through casual or organized participation, aim to use, maintain, or improve physical ability and provide entertainment to participants. The Gymkhana department of our college also runs with the same zeal and it inculcates the ever-challenging enthusiasm within the students to set a benchmark in the different events organized at Inter-Collegiate and at Inter-university levels. The department has full-fledged facilities for Indoor and Outdoor games. The big ground having the facility to play volleyball, football, and cricket is also there within the campus. Students of SCET participate at all levels across the country in various sports tournaments. SCET has been a regular winner at various sports events at Inter Engineering, Inter-Collegiate, and Inter-University levels. At many inter-collegiate levels, SCET has earned a name for itself.


Hostel:
College Provides Adequate Facility Of Hostels For Boys And Girls Separately. Due to limited accommodation at the Hostel Preference will be given to the students who have submitted their application in time. and as per Priorities decided by the hostel Admission Committee from time to time.

Cafeteria:

An Excellent Canteen Serving Not Only Mouth Watering But Also Hygienic Stuff At Subsidized Rates Has Been Set Up To Cater To The Needs Of Students And Staff.

About Training & Placement
The Department of Training and Placement (T&P) at Sarvajanik College of Engineering and Technology (SCET), Surat, has a comprehensive approach to providing career guidance, counselling for higher studies, pre-placement training, and placement support.

The T&P cell at SCET Surat aligns with the guidelines provided by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).
About 500 students graduate every year from the SCET campus. Out of these, about 60 % of students go for placements through T&P. Remaining students opt for higher studies or their personal ventures.


Infrastructure:

The T & P Cell is well equipped with excellent infrastructure to support each and every stage of the placement process. The training and placement department has independent computer terminals with internet connection. Independent office with notice boards & easy access to interview room & state of the art Seminar Hall We send invitation letters/emails with all the details to more than 700 companies to carry recruitment drives from our college and for vocational training or internships.

Career Guidance Facilities:

The T&P cell at SCET Surat provides various facilities for career guidance to help students make informed career choices.
The department conducts career guidance sessions to provide students with information regarding various career paths and opportunities available in the market.

The cell also provides students with access to various books and resources related to placement and career guidance.

TRANSPORTATION
college has its dedicated transport for the day scholars, covering entire city. Route plans are chalked out keeping in mind the convenience of the students. The institute has deployed twelve medium sized buses so as to save time for students in commuting to and from the institute.
